The Marion County Fire District No. 1 is not part of the city of Salem or Marion County but is an independent “special service district” and is a combination agency supported by career and volunteer personnel. We provide Fire, EMS, and emergency services to residents who are in unincorporated Marion County.
We respond out of eight stations with 9 engines, 7 transport ambulances, 3 brush units, 4 tenders, and 12 staff vehicles. We do this with a team of over 100 fire and medical personnel who staff our stations.
MCFD No. 1 provides emergency services to over 60,000 residents in 88 square miles of unincorporated residential, commercial, and agricultural property bordering the cities of Salem, Oregon, and Keizer, Oregon.
