FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions

Ten firefighters in gear pose around a fire truck labeled "E715" on a cloudy day. Some are standing on the truck, while others sit or stand beside it. A training tower is visible in the background.

You should test your smoke detector monthly by pushing the “test” button. Batteries should be replaced annually or when the low battery “chirp” is heard. Call us if you have any questions.

Sorry, we can’t attend private parties, political rallies, or for-profit business events. However, we can try to accommodate school visits, career fairs, safety talks, and public safety events.

Unfortunately, we cannot. Both the apparatus and water are costly public resources and must be managed responsibly.

We recommend keeping an extinguisher in your kitchen and garage. A multi-purpose fire extinguisher is best for your home. On the label, the rating should be at least a 2A 10BC (may be labeled A-B-C) this type of extinguisher can be used on all household items.
