Michael Stoffey joined the Marion County Fire District #1 Board of Directors in 2025, bringing more than 30 years of experience in engineering, technology sales leadership, and strategic management. A graduate of MTI, his career began in RF, microwave, and satellite communications engineering with organizations including Lockheed Martin and Space Systems Loral, followed by senior sales and leadership roles with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and other leading technology firms.
Michael has a strong record of public service and community involvement. He serves as an elected Precinct Committeeperson, is a voting member of the St. Paul Rodeo, a former Social Media Director for the Oregon Conservative Caucus, and a volunteer with the Ironman Oregon Water Safety Team.
His focus on the Board is ensuring the District remains fiscally responsible, operationally strong, and well prepared to serve the community. He is committed to supporting firefighters, EMTs, and staff while maintaining transparency, accountability, and public trust.
Outside of district service, Michael enjoys volunteering, pickleball, fishing, kayaking, camping, gardening, travel, and spending time with his wife Yvonne, family, and community.
